Quelque 1500 spectateurs étaient présents dans cette salle pour un concert vendredi soir.
Trois assaillants morts en actionnant leurs ceintures d'explosifs
Les quatre assaillants de la salle de concert du Bataclan à Paris sont morts lors de l'assaut donné par les forces de l'ordre, dont trois en actionnant leurs ceintures d'explosifs, a-t-on appris de sources concordantes.
L'assaut policier «a été extrêmement difficile: les terroristes s'étaient enfermés à l'étage, ont explosé et avaient des ceintures d'explosifs», a déclaré à la presse le préfet de police Michel Cadot.
«Trois d'entre eux se sont fait sauter avec leurs ceintures d'explosifs et un quatrième, lui aussi porteur d'une ceinture, a été touché par la police avant d'exploser en tombant», a précisé une source proche de l'enquête.
François Hollande sur place
Par ailleurs, le président français François Hollande s'est rendu dans la nuit de vendredi à samedi au Bataclan, a-t-on appris auprès de l'Élysée.
Accompagné notamment du premier ministre Manuel Valls, du ministre de l'Intérieur Bernard Cazeneuve, et de la ministre de la Justice Christiane Taubira, le chef de l'État a fait «le point» avec le chef des pompiers et du Service d'aide médicale urgente (SAMU), selon la même source.
Il a assuré que la France allait mener un combat «impitoyable» contre le terrorisme.
«Nous voulions être là, parmi ceux qui ont vu ces choses atroces, pour dire que nous allons mener le combat, qu'il sera impitoyable», a affirmé le chef de l'État devant la salle de spectacle du Bataclan où des assaillants ont fait un carnage.
