«J’étais à l’aéroport pendant la fusillade alors il y avait un délai on ne pouvait pas partir parce que c’était en lockdown», a témoigné une Québécoise rencontrée à l’aéroport Montréal-Trudeau.
«Le monde était très surpris et là on était sur nos iPad pour être au courant de plus de détails», a raconté un homme qui se trouvait sur les lieux exacts de la fusillade moins de 24 heures plus tôt.
«On entendait les gens écouter sur leur téléphone la vidéo de la fusillade, donc on entendait les tirs à répétition sur les cellulaires et on prenait connaissance de la situation», a ajouté une autre voyageuse.
C’est seulement à leur arrivée à Montréal que les voyageurs ont pris pleinement conscience de la tragédie qui venait de se dérouler à Las Vegas.
Plusieurs Québécois rencontrés à l’aéroport Montréal-Trudeau qui s’apprêtaient lundi matin à décoller pour la ville du vice pour des raisons d’affaires ont avoué qu’ils auraient aimé pouvoir changer de destination.
La fusillade la plus meurtrière des dernières décennies aux États-Unis a fait au moins 50 morts et plus de 400 blessés.
